TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Dozens of Jewish settlers accompanied by Israeli security forces forced their way into Quds's (Jerusalem) flashpoint Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Sunday, according to local sources.
WAFA correspondent said extremist Israeli settlers and students of Talmudic yeshivas broke into the holy mosque in groups, under heavy protection from Israeli police.
Two days ago, an Israeli police officer was filmed entering Bab al-Rahma section of the holy site while refusing to take off his boots, a step which was seen as desecrating of sanctity of the mosque by the Islamic Awqaf department, in charge of the holy sites in Jerusalem.
The Muslim holy site recently witnessed the reopening of Bab al-Rahma worship site inside the mosque by thousands of Muslim worshipers accompanied by Awqaf officials after a 16-year-closure by Israeli authorities.
