Tehran, YJC. Majlis speaker says Iran has not given in to sanctions and that has been recognized by some EU members.
"Countries see everything with open eyes and discern their own interests,”
said Ali Larijani, the speaker of Iran’s Consultative Assembly in a press
conference after meeting the president of South Africa.
He stated "Some European countries which thought that they could
make a change by pressurizing Iran have changed their views.”
"The US clamor better go unheeded. What is important is what has
happened on the practical stage. Have they been able to stop Iran from
thriving? All can see these things which show that circumstances have changed,”
Larijani asserted.
Pointing to Iran’s nuclear case he said "The negotiations are going
on with the P5+1. South Africa has stressed Iran’s right to enrichment. Having a
clear understanding of the circumstances, the country continues to endorse the Iranian
nation’s rights to nuclear energy.”
He also pointed to "some countries doing mischief in the United
Nations” and said "Stirring sectarian conflict in central Africa was a mischief
by these countries. The domineering system intends through such actions to
reach its colonial aims.”
