TEHRAN, Mar 03 - Three border guards lost their lives in flash floods after heavy rainfall hit south-east of Iran on Saturday.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Following heavy rainfall in the southeastern region of Mirjaveh in Sistan and Balouchestan province, three border guards of this region were caught in a flash flood and martyred whilst on duty protecting Iran's borders.
After the incident, an attorney at Mirjaveh regiment, the first sergeant, Mohammad Nuri, entered the floodwaters to save his colleagues but he also drowned.
The body of Ali Holakoui and Mojtaba Yazdan, soldiers of the Mirjaveh regiment, who lost their lives in the flash floods, were discovered on Sunday morning and transferred to the coroner and forensic medical examiner in Zahedan.
