Tehran, YJC. 600 student’s Basij officials have in a letter warned president Rouhani that “no one has ever gained anything from relations with the US.”
Some hundred members of the student’s Basij have signed a
letter to Hassan Rouhani asking the president to stop some of his salient policies
in foreign and domestic affairs.
The signatory have demanded that the president ignore easing
international relations as a perceived means to help the country’s troubled
economy.
"We know of no country which might have gained anything
other than disability and dependency from trust in the US,” their letter reads.
They have instead insisted that the government should pay
more attention to the realization of domestic potentials, expressing discontent
for the government’s current approach to resistance economy whose
implementation was recommended to the president by the Supreme Leader in the
form of a comprehensive plan sheet.
The letter’s signatory have also found fault with governmental appointments,
stating that some newly instated officials in the administrative body have
played key roles in contribution to the country’s 2009 disturbances.
They have expressed worries that "seditionists” might get
back to power "under the name of moderation”, policy emphasized by Rouhani to
bring together various tastes.
These Basij officials have also demanded that the president take
action against "secular tolerance” over arts and the press.
