TEHRAN, Feb 18 - Bahman Asgari from Iran claimed a gold medal at the Karate 1-Premier League event on Sunday.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Asgari won the men’s 75kg kumite event as the Iranian overcame Italy’s Luigi Busa 2-0.
Also, Iran’s Ali Fadakar claimed a silver medal in the men’s under-84kg kumite after losing to Turkey’s Ugur Aktas.
Iranian karatekas had already won seven bronze medals at the competition.
The competition was held at the Al Wasl club in Dubai, the UAE.
The third Karate 1-Premier League of the season is due to take place in the Moroccan city Rabat from April 19 to 21.
