TEHRAN, Feb 06 - Today Iran has turned into a key player in the Middle East region, Iranian Army Deputy Chief for Coordination said.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Attending a press conference on Wednsday held in the Museum of Islamic Revolution and Holy Defense, Rear Amiral Habibollah Sayyari congratulated the 40th anniversary of Islamic Revolution victory and said Iran's enemies started to threat the Revolution from the very beginning of its victory.
"they developed many strategies to stop the Revolution from progressing. Ethnic conflicts, terror, isolation, direct military invasion, and sanctions were of thoses strategies practiced against Iran but failed" he noted.
The army commander asserted that Iran today has becom a key player in the region; a regional power inspiring freedom-seeking nations.
noting that the enemies nowadays are adopting soft war as well as economic war, Admiral Sayyari said Iran must have plans to counter the strategies of its enemies.
