Tehran, YJC. Sudan’s Parliament Speaker has met Hashemi in Tehran.

In meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament of Sudan Fatih Aziz al-Din Mansour on Sunday evening, Head of the Expediency Discernment Council of Iran appreciated the new initiative taken by the Sudanese government in holding talks with different groups and stressed the point that it is a right for the people of Sudan to live in peace.

Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani maintained that Sudan is a great Islamic country and said "For all Sudanese groups to unite will disappoint the enemies. If integration had been taken seriously we would not have seen Sudan split.”

Hashemi stated that African countries are prone to any sort of economic development to provide the people with better life conditions, saying "On my trips to some African countries I noticed potentials there which, if managed properly, could make real changes in people’s lives.”

The Sudanese Parliament Speaker in turn congratulated the 35th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution and said that Iran is a beam of hope for the oppressed countries of the world.

"We appreciate the Islamic Republic government for its sophisticated stances on international, regional, and Sudanese affairs,” he said.
