Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif who was speaking in a program on the state TV on Saturday pointed to US threats of military options and said "The US has not gained anything in any place around the world through the military option.”
Pointing to recent statement by US officials he said "The recent statements by US statesmen are nothing new and hold no weight among people. We must not concern ourselves with their talk more than is necessary. It is rather disappointing that inside the country they are given too much attention.”
Zarif also pointed out that the new round of nuclear talks will begin the coming Tuesday and said "In the new round of talks which will begin on Tuesday in Vienna, Austria, the representatives of Iran and the P5+1 will try to come to terms about the agenda and the way to continue the talks.”
The Foreign Minister also stated "In Vienna we will emphasize that further into the negotiations, no statement must be made or action taken which will contribute to the Iranian people’s distrust.”
