TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - According to AFP, Amnesty International director for Middle East Samah Hadid expressed his happiness over the cancellation of the death penalty issued for the activist.
Al-Ghamgham is still in prison for taking part in a peacful rally, Hadid said.
Saudi regime's officila have yet shown no reaction to the news of al-Ghamgham's death sentence cancelation.
The Persian Gulf Center for Human Rights in response to the news said that the Saudi court was no longer seeking execution of al-Ghamgham, but it was likely that he will be imprisoned for many years.
Al-Ghomgham is the first female activist jailed in Saudi regime's prisons. Al-Ghomgham and her husband Moussa al-Hashem, who were arrested in a house raid by Saudi regime forces on December 8, 2015.
