TEHRAN, Feb 02 - A Syrian Awqaf ministry official said the struggle for the cause of Palestine was revived thanks to Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - speaking at a program held in Damascus to celebrate the 40thanniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory, Nabil Suleiman said the special character of Imam Khomeini (RA) caused the Muslim Ummah to achieve a unity about issues like Palestine.
Also, he added, the movement of Imam Khomeini (RA) gave rise to a resistance front in the region and the world whose accomplishments can be seen today.
He went on to say that Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei follows the same path.
The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime 40 years ago, ending the 2,500 years of monarchic rule in the country.
The Islamic Revolution spearheaded by Imam Khomeini established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.
