TEHRAN, Feb 01 - Sudanese security forces used tear gas to disperse protests in the capital Khartoum and elsewhere on Thursday.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Video obtained by Reuters showed protesters in Omdurman shouting slogans against the administration of Sudan's President Omar al-Bashir, with some rinsing their faces to avoid inhaling the gas.
There were no immediate reports of any injuries or arrests.
Dozens of people have been killed in more than six weeks of protests, which began as demonstrations against rising prices and have swelled into the most sustained street opposition Bashir has faced in power.
On Thursday, fresh demonstrations also erupted in Khartoum as well as in villages across Jazeera State to the south.
