Tehran, YJC. Seddiqi says it is not worth it to wait for the sanctions to be removed.
This
week’s Friday preacher Kazem Seddiqui stated that it is an illusion to think that
because of heavy sanctions Iran has bowed down to negotiations.
He exclaimed
"Let the world and the negotiators know that the Iranian nation is bold and
strong and will not back down from its dignity as much as one inch for food or
for economic problems. "
"Of
course we do not disdain negotiations, but the illusion that the people of Iran
have given way to negotiations because of the sanctions is a perverted
illusion,” he asserted.
Pointing
to recent statements by US officials Seddiqui said "The decent behavior of some
insiders, along with an atmosphere poisoned by some beguiled entities, lead the
enemy astray to grow so rude and presumptuous to see the Iranian nation as
their doormat; yet with our own money of which a little returned. Yet the Iranian
people gave this world-devouring monster which feeds on our money and that of
others a crushing response.”
The
Friday preacher also commemorated the anniversary of Khomeini’s fatwa
denouncing Salman Rushdie as heretic.
