Iran, Iraq parliamentarians discuss private sector cooperation

Tehran, YJC. Iran’s Majlis speaker and Iraq’s Head of Citizenship Parliamentary Group have discussed cooperation.

Ali Larijani, the Speaker of Iran’s parliament, and Bayan Jabr, Head of the Citizenship Parliamentary Group and member of the Central Council of the parliament of Iraq, met on Monday noon, ICANA reports.

In this meeting Larijani conveyed great willingness by Iranian companies to work in Iraq, stating "Expanding cooperation between the private sectors can be influential in meetings the needs of the people of Iraq.”

Jabr in return expressed gratitude for the Islamic Republic or Iran’s support for the Iraqi nation, adding "Improving friendly relations with Iran in diverse areas is stressed by all political groups in Iraq.”

The Iraqi parliamentarian stated that the existence of terrorist groups in Iraq is a threat to the whole region, asserting that the Iraqi government is utterly determined in fighting them.
