TEHRAN, Jan 6 - The 36th edition of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s International Quran Competition will be held in Tehran in April.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Like previous years, Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla (prayer hall) will host the contest.
According to the organizers, it will be held from April 8 to 15, IRNA reported.
The Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization annually organizes the competition with the participation of Quran memorizers and reciters from various countries.
Last year, nearly 370 foreign guests, including the contenders, Quran experts and members of the panels of judges, took part in the competition and other international contests held in Tehran simultaneously.
They included international Quran contests for women, the visually-impaired and seminary students.
