Tehran, YJC. UN Secretary General’s representative to Iraq has visited the Imam Husayn sanctuary.
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's Special Representative for Iraq and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq Nikolay Mladenov paid tribute to the third Shiite Imam by visiting his shrine.
In interview with Iraq’s Noon news agency he praised the Imam for his humanistic speech where he led a number of enemies who intended to kill him into his own circle.
He further added that humanitarian acts in accepting refugees from Fallujah and Ramadi performed in Karbala go in the same direction as that of the Shiite Imam.
