TEHRAN, December 31 - Iran's Intelligence Ministry announced in a statement on Monday that it recognized and destroyed an economic corruption band, arresting 11 main members of the network.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - According to the statement, the band illegally exploited a huge amount of currency (equivalent of 47 billion rials) distributed with government subsidy, investing it in fortune out of the country under the pretext of importing basic commodities for people.
Using business cards of fake companies, forging invoices to register the import order of vital goods, and bribing some banks, the band received the very amount of money and applied various tricks to prevent banks from legal following of the money gone, the statement said.
The Ministry Intelligence arrested the band in Kordistan province, west of Iran.
