TEHRAN, YJC. Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran has said that new generation centrifuge production line is operational and the previous generation of centrifuges will be put to one side.
Fereydoun Abbasi in the Conference on Nuclear Application in
Health, Agriculture, and Industry on Sunday pointed to the fact that Iran has
produced 110 billion Rls [over $4 million] nuclear electricity and said "The
original cost for this electricity is 200 billion Rls, which is a fair price
considering the increase in conventional fuel prices. Therefore the importance
of the nuclear fuels in times of shortage on conventional fuels is made clear.”
Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran provided comments
on the production of 3,000 new generation centrifuges and stated "The final
production line for these centrifuges is complete and the previous generation
of centrifuges will be set aside.”
Regarding the future policies of the Atomic Energy Organization,
Abbasi said "Our future strategy is to have cooperation with different
industries and put our abilities in the service of industries such as oil, gas,
and petrochemical industries which are under sanction.”
