TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) -Terrorists have targeted a tourist bus in Egypt to take vengeance for a recent attack on the Daesh terrorist group, says a commentator.
The Egyptian Interior Ministry has said in a statement that a bomb explosion has hit a bus carrying 14 Vietnamese tourists near Giza pyramids, leaving three tourists and an Egyptian guide dead and11 injured.
In an interview with Press TV on Saturday, Said Zulficar, political analyst, said that “what has been happening is that there has been an intensification of fighting against the Daesh terrorists in Sinai recently and this is probably a way of getting their revenge.
“The intention is obviously to break down the country’s economy, but this is also a revenge attack on what happened last week where 14 were killed in Sinai and in November another 30 were killed,” Zulficar said.
The analyst also referred to the root cause of such incidents in Egypt, noting that “the attacks will go on as long as the government does not tackle political and social problems.”
Over the past few years, terrorists have been carrying out anti-government activities and fatal attacks in particular in the Sinai Peninsula.
