Tehran, YJC. Senior lawmaker has reacted to John Kerry’s new statements about Iran.
"Kerry’s
dream to undo the nuclear facilities will never come true,” exclaimed head of
the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Iran’s Majlis Alaeddin Boroujerdi.
In interview
with YJC, Boroujerdi said in reaction to recent statements by the US Secretary
of State John Kerry about Iran "The US Secretary of State’s recent statements
once more testified to the truth of what the Supreme Leader said that Americans
cannot be trusted.”
He added
"The truth is that the US policy regarding the nuclear future of the Islamic
Republic of Iran is what the country’s president expressed, saying ‘If I had an
option, if we could create an option in which Iran eliminated every single nut
and bolt of their nuclear program, and foreswore the possibility of ever having
a nuclear program, and, for that matter, got rid of all its military
capabilities, I would take it.’”
The
lawmaker asserted "Nobody can nor has the right to trespass this policy. So Mr.
Kerry and other American leaders’ dream in wrapping up the Islamic Republic of Iran’s
nuclear facilities will not come true.”
Also
addressing threats around military options, he said "The phrase ‘The military
option is on the table’ has been so frequently used by Americans that it has
turned into a ridiculous aphorism.”
Boroujerdi
further said "If US officials would like to get a clear sense of Iran’s
capabilities they might like to know that Iran’s support behind the resistance
brought four defeats upon the Zionist regime as the world’s 4th most
powerful army which had become an emblem for US military might. So they are
fully aware of Iran’s military power and they know that any mistake by them in
the military sphere will end America’s military presence in the region.”
