In the
sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, president Hassan Rouhani met
with the representatives of a number of oil companies.
Introducing
40 contracts in oil and gas fields and petrochemicals, Rouhani stated "The
government will provide foreign entrepreneurs with inexpensive gas.”
In this
meeting Iran maintained that starting September, it will offer "appealing” oil
contracts in novel ways.
Speaking
in the sidelines of the economic forum, Rouhani stated "Today things are so
that the sanctions will soon fade away, because we are trying to prove that our
activities are peaceful.
He further
added "With new contract methods and by removing previous obstacles, everything
is being ready to start a new round of cooperation between Iran and big oil
companies.”
Expressing
hope that companies would start investment in petrochemicals and electricity as
soon as possible, the president maintained "Lower prices for gas and special
facilities will be considered.”
Rouhani
added "We intend to share the ownership of domestic car manufacturing companies
with big international companies by making appealing offers.”
