Tehran, YJC. Iranian police has arrested smuggler carrying opium in his stomach.
Qeshm police found a smuggler hiding over 2 kilograms of
opium in his stomach, Mehr News Agency reports.
Officer Davoud Mahmoud Zadeh in interview said "The Qeshm
airport police checking Qeshm-Tehran passengers grew suspicious of one of them
and conveyed him to the headquarters for more investigation.”
"Conducting close examinations and through specific police
tricks the officers made sure that there was narcotics inside his stomach,
finding 121 packs of opium amounting to 2.060 kilograms,” he said.
The Qeshm Chief of Police maintained that the arrested
person has a long record in smuggling illegal drugs and said "He was handed
over to the county Drug Police for complementary investigations and to undergo due
legal procedures.”
