Tehran, YJC. Lawmaker says the EU is more likely to abide by the terms of agreement than the US.
The
Deputy Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Majlis
Mansour Haqiqatpour stated that the EU is more likely than the US to abide by
the agreement made in Geneva on Iran’s nuclear program.
He further
stated "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports to the Majlis and the National
Security Committee of how much the West is faithful to the Geneva agreement.”
Pointing
to the joint enactment of the Geneva agreement by Iran and the P5+1,
Haqiqatpour said "We hope that the West, especially the US, would prove their
abidance to the agreement reached between Iran and the P5+1. We hope that they
would repent their past behavior and remain faithful to the enactment of the
agreements.”
The
senior lawmaker further stated "As long as Iran’s case is not transferred from
the UN Security Council to the IAEA and the country’s right to enrichment is
not recognized like other countries’, the enactment of the agreements will be
facing some problem.”
