The contract includes spare parts, training and other support services. Work will take place in the U.S. and international locations with the contract expected to run through December 2025.

The Joint Threat Emitter is a training system designed for simulating enemy radar, surface-to-air missiles and anti-aircraft artillery.

Northrop Grumman say it takes into account enemy electronic warfare efforts while recording training results for easy debriefing.

It is meant to simulate a Integrated Air Defense System, the term for layers of radars, missiles, guns and other weaponry.
