Tehran, YJC. Iran, Syria, and Russia foreign ministers are meeting today.
Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif who
was on a trip to Damascus on Wednesday, meeting with Bashar al-Assad and Walid Muallem,
has left Syria for Russia with his Syrian counterpart.
Farif and Muallem are to meet their Russian counterpart
Sergey Lavrov on Thursday.
The three foreign ministers meet shortly before the Geneva 2
conference on Syria.
Having not been invited to the previous Geneva 2 sessions, Iran
is now optimistic that it would have a say in the upcoming session as it has
been invited by Western parties of the meeting.
