Tehran, YJC. Rouhani has said that the people of Iran want a good livelihood most of all.

Hassan Rouhani who was speaking to Governor-Generals on Tuesday morning pointed to Iran’s economic status during the early days of his office and said "In regard to economy we were in a state of downturn and inflation. The government tried to break that atmosphere.”

"Our first job was to stop the inflation growth, where we did even better than we had expected. Today I have to say that there has been 14 percent decline in the inflation growth which testifies to the effective measures the government has taken,” he asserted.

He further stated "People are tired of harshness and extremism. They want individuals who serve well. Their livelihood is not in a good shape and we have a long road ahead to fix that.”

Pointing to the bill of rights the President said "If the bill of rights is set as the basis of your job people are sure to welcome you. It is a good omen that the draft of the bill of rights is ready and people have directed a load of suggestions there. I was surprised by people’s favor toward the bill of rights because as I said on TV that the draft will be published on the web there was so much traffic that the website could not respond.”

Rouhani speaking to Governor-GeneralsHe further added that by the end of the Iranian year when the bill’s final draft is written, the Governor Generals will be provided with copies in order to start educational courses where volunteers from different social strata will attend.
