TEHRAN, November 13 - Pirouz Hanichi became the mayor of Iran's capital city of Tehran.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The third mayor of Iran's mega-city of Tehran was elected while the 100th session of fifth city council was held.
The final competition on taking the seat of Tehran's mayor came between Abbas Akhundi and Pirouz Hanachi.
Gaining 11 votes, Hanachi won the election and Abbas Akhundi failed for only 1 vote.
Pirouz Honachi is currently the Deputy Mayor of Tehran's municipality, educated and instructor in urban developing, and has already been nominated for the mayor, but failed.
