Tehran, YJC. In a phone call to the Iranian parliamentary speaker, Nujaifi requested cooperation in meeting the problems of Al Anbar Governorate.

The Speaker of the Council of Representatives of Iraq discussed concerns with his Iranian counterpart over the telephone on Tuesday evening, Mehr News Agency reports.

Providing Larijani with report on the state of affairs in al-Anbar Governorate, he expressed Iraq’s willingness to have Iran by its side in handling its concerns regarding the area.

Ali Larijani in turn stated "Iran has always stressed the need for all religions and political parties to have a share in governing Iraq. Iran holds that the only way out of these problems is general reconciliation and participation by all strata for security, provision of services, and development of the country.”

He added "I was concerned hearing that a number of Iraqi lawmakers have resigned, because resignation is no way to solve problems. The problems could rather be solved only through talks and cooperation.”

He then expressed readiness to provide assistance for the Iraqi government in coping with the problem mentioned.
