Tehran, Larijani says the US has not yet come to itself despite having been beaten by Iran.
The
Secretary of the Human Rights Staff of the Judiciary Branch and strategic
affairs expert in interview with YJC pointed to the 2009 riots and said "The
2009 sedition was a very comprehensive program and one of the most complicated
ones by the Zionist West against the post-revolution Iranian state. During those
events the US was punched hard in the mouth but it still talks from the position
of strength.”
Mohammad Javad Larijani further stated "Our nation and officials must be careful. We must see
where they are. We must not be fooled with the Westerners’ smiles and their
come-ons. I believe that following the political breakthrough, an economic
breakthrough based on resistive measures will give the West the hardest blow. That
is, the sedition lingers on even today, only the form has changed. They intend
to take the sanctions inside in order to exert themselves. But they are sure to
fail.”
