TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - He was selected as Iran’s representative in the international Quranic event after recently winning the third rank in the country’s national Quran contest.
While Malaysia’s Quran competition is several months away, Movahed Amin told IQNA that he has already begun practicing to improve his Quranic skills and have a good presence in the contest.
Malaysia’s 61st international Quran competition will be held in Kuala Lumpur in May 2019.
In the 60th edition of the event earlier this year, Iran’s Mokhtar Dehqan finished runner-up in the recitation category.
In 2017, Hamed Alizadeh represented Iran in the competition and bagged the top prize, as did his fellow-countryman Mohsen Hajihassani Kargar in 2015.
