Tehran, YJC. Salehi says Iran has accepted 6 requests by the IAEA to ease the atmosphere about its nuclear program.
Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran said "In order to ease the atmosphere we agreed to 6 requests by the IAEA. We hope that from now on, the reports that go to the Board of Governors by Amano will have a more positive atmosphere.”
Ali Akbar Salehi who was visiting a hospital in Tehran on Tuesday answered a number of questions regarding Iran’s nuclear program, Mehr News Agency reports.
Asked what the IAEA would do after the six requests are agreed to by Iran, he said "In an agreement we made with Mr. Amano and the IAEA, they had six requests which we agreed to meet in order to ease the atmosphere.”
Salehi stated that one of the requests has been to visit the Arak heavy water facilities and said "A couple of weeks ago the IAEA inspectors came for a visit. Their other request was to see the Gachin uranium mine in Bandar Abbas, which will also be done in a short while.”
He maintained "This approach has made Mr. Amano’s recent report to the Board of Governors enjoy a more positive atmosphere.”
In the other news head of the Atomic Energy Organization also retreited that Arak reactor will not be shut down.
According to Atomic Energy Organization website, Salehi added "Whenever western sides begin to remove the sanctions, Iran also will begin its mutual commitments.
