TEHRAN, October 17 - Iranian memorizer Abuzar Karami will leave Tehran for Russia today to take part in the country’s international Quran contest.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Karami will represent the Islamic Republic in the 19th edition of Russia’s international Quran contest.
It will get underway in Moscow on Thursday.
While Quran masters usually accompany Iran’s representatives in international Quranic events as guides, Karami told IQNA that he will not be accompanied by anyone in the trip.
He said he was fully prepared for good performance in the contest.
The 29-year-old added that he has received some information about the regulations of the contest but not many details about how it is held.
In 2017, Iranian Qari Amir Laal Avval bagged the top prize in the Russian Quran competition.
