TEHRAN, October 14 -Serbia’s Novak Djokovic has won a record 4th Shanghai Masters title and moved a step closer to ending the year as the world number one with a straight sets victory over Borna Coric of Croatia.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) -The second-seeded Serb won after a convincing 6-3, 6-4 victory over Coric, the 13th seed who had knocked out Juan Martin del Potro and Roger Federer on his way to his first ATP Masters series final.
Djokovic broke his opponent’s serve once in each set to secure victory in 97 minutes. Djokovic's 18th straight match win puts him just 35 points behind Rafael Nadal in the race to end the year as world number one.
