Tehran, YJC. Government Spokesman says the EU has expressed readiness to lift sanctions from Iran.

Speaking in a press conference on Wednesday, government Spokesman Mohammad Baqer Nobakht pointed to reports that Iran’s nuclear program will be transferred from the Foreign Ministry to the Supreme National Security Council and said "Foreign Minister Zarif provided the cabinet with a report on the nuclear case which I would like to tell you about.”

"There he reported that the ministers of European countries have urged Mrs. Ashton to enact the agreement earlier than the appointed time,” Nobakht said.

He added "Keeping in mind that some agreement has been made against the will of Zionists, it is possible for the Zionist lobby to attempt to disrupt its enactment in the future. They may drive some figures in the US as well as the EU to speak against the agreement, which is quite common.”

The government Spokesman further said "What will be important is the written agreement. Individual talk will be ineffective in securing agreements. The Geneva agreement has been approved of by Iranian and Western officials.”

Nobakht further added that Zarif had pointed to reports stating that the Majlis is going to pass bills to regulate Iran’s nuclear policies, stating that the government will follow what bills the Majlis passes.
