TEHRAN, October 13 - In a ceremony in Singapore, a number of children who have learned the Quran by heart were honored for their achievement.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The Southeast Asian country’s al-Dawa society organized the ceremony, which was also attended by a number of Quranic figures from other countries.
They included ambassador from a number of Arab countries and Uzbekistan as well as chancellor of Egypt’s Kafr El Sheikh University.
Singapore is a sovereign city-state and island country in Southeast Asia.
Muslims in Singapore are estimated between 450,000 to 500,000, making around 15 percent of the population.
