Tehran, YJC. Iranian football coach says the team is in a very difficult pot in the upcoming World Cup.
In a
press conference, the Iranian national football coach Carlos Queiroz said that
his team will have a tough job in the World Cup.
He said
"You know that we are in the same group with Argentina, Bosnia, and Nigeria. We
have to face three teams from three continents with three different styles. We are
in a difficult pot, but our goal is to go to the next stage. I sound like Mission:
Impossible. But if you look at the other groups you will see that things
are pretty tough there, too.”
"In
spite of all that,” he added "we set our goal to qualify for the next stage. Because
we are in the World Cup and there is just no easy match in the World Cup. So we
will have to look at it in two ways. First, to look dramatically and say we
will win. And the second is the way I look at it.”
The
Portuguese football manager further said "Personally, I believe that the draw
which was to come out for Iran was a gift for us because our goal and our wish
was to be there in the World Cup matches among the world’s greatest teams,
which has come true for us and now it is time to enjoy it, to play the world’s
greatest teams.”
"Right now the biggest issue is that we are going to play
Argentina. We think of ourselves because we are Iran and we want to play the
World Cup. In fact to play with the Nigerian power, the Argentinean abilities,
and the Bosnian quality is not what we would be after, it is rather how to move
past our weak points.”
"So
my opinion is that this is an easy group and I enjoy it and am personally ready
so that we will play our best against these teams, and what is important is to
get what we want,” he added.
