TEHRAN, October 03 -River Plate of Argentina have overcome Independiente 3-1 to secure their spot in the semifinals of the Copa Libertadores.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - River Plate’s Ignacio Scocco put his side in front in the beginning of the second half. But Independiente canceled their lead in the 55th minute when Silvio Romero scored the equalizer.
Juan Quintero and Santos Borre scored two goals for River Plate to seal their side's semifinals spot against Gremio of Brazil.
