Tehran, YJC. Defense Minister says the hulk of a submarine is past construction and after equipments are installed, the watercraft will be given to the Navy.

Speaking in the sidelines of the 7th Scientific, Commandership, and Control Conference in Imam Hossein University the Defense Minister Hossein Dehqan in answer to a question regarding the construction of a semi-heavy submarine said "The design of the submarine and hulk construction are done. Also the arc test as well as movements and multi-hundred distance tests are carried out.”

He added that after equipments are installed, the submarine will be handed to the Navy.

The Minister of Defense also pointed to Iran’s satellite to be launched in the near future and said "God willing, in the near future we will be ready to launch a satellite into space. Space orbits, though, vary, that is, according to the orbits they are placed at and the orbit being circular or oval, the satellite’s durability in space varies.”

"We plan to place the satellites at higher orbits in the future and also to manage their movements and the systems in a way that will extend their mission’s time span,” Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan pointed out.
