TEHRAN, September 26 - Made by Iranian experts, a 300-ton reactor was installed and run at the heart of the Shiraz refinery.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The 300-ton reactor plays a key role in the production of petroleum products including jet fuel, kerosene, and bitumen, Shiraz refinery director said.
With the reactor replaced, the quality of liquid gas, gasoline, and gas oil is improved and the production of strategic products with high quality will be feasible, .
The previous reactor made in Italy dismatled because of being cracked.
Italy refused to repair the reactor, so the risk of its explosion threatened the whole region of the refinery.
Therefor, Iranian experts designed one domestically and installed it in Shiraz refinery.
Noting that the reactor is already being made in Italy as well a China, Shamsoddini said "With the efforts of domestic experts, Iran also joined the manufacturers of the reactor in the world".
