Tehran, YJC. Ayatollah Javadi Amoli says US officials must not imagine that the fact that Iran negotiates its nuclear case with them means that the country trusts them.

Ayatollah Javadi Amoli speaking in the Qom Seminary of Traditional Islamic School said "US officials must keep from thinking that if we negotiate with them and shake hands with them it means that we trust them. It rather shows our manners, insight, and wisdom to believe that man must talk, shake hands, and then count his fingers.”

He further said "Bitter historical experiences of US presence in the country, like that of the 1953 coup, have driven us completely cynical to Americans.”

"This state is a divine one. Therefore, we will not go subject to cruelty. We will live freely and in the mean time recognize the rights of others. In return the world has to recognize our rights,” he emphasized.
