Tehran, YJC. Iran and Armenia have agreed to build a new conveyance line as well as a border power plant.

The new round of talks on water and electricity between Iran and Armenia was hosted by Iran in November where the energy ministers of the two sides took part, making three agreements in water and electricity.

In their meeting in Tehran, Hamid Chitchian and Armen Movsisyan discussed the building of a joint hydroelectric power plant on the Aras River, bartering electricity and natural gas, and stretching a new power grid, Mehr News Agency reports.

The ministers also discussed Iranian electricity transit as well as stretching a grid to Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Russia.
