TEHRAN, August 27 - Khara or Varzaneh Desert is located 100 km east of Isfahan in central Iran near the city of Varzaneh.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The desert is located along the Gavkhouni Wetland covering an area of about 17,000 square metres.
Many tourists annually come to the region for camping and gazing at stars.
