Tehran, YJC. Pakistan PM’s consultant is going to visit Iran for talks on the Peace pipeline.
Fars
news agency reports that Sartaj Aziz, consultant to the Prime Minister of
Pakistan, is going to visit Tehran on Monday for a number of meetings.
Aziz
will be attending the 21st meeting of the ECO Ministers Council, as
well as visiting the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani and
a number of other officials.
The
ECO meeting has started on Sunday November 24 and will be over on November 26.
Reports
say that the Minister of Oil and Natural Resources of Pakistan will be
accompanying Aziz.
The
Pakistani delegation will discuss the price for gas exported from Iran, as well
as the postponement of the operation of the Peace pipeline.
Pakistani
officials have expressed hope that they will come to terms with Iran in
finalizing the Peace pipeline project.
Their
attempts seem more vigorous than before since Iran made a deal with the West on
its nuclear program on Sunday.
