Tehran, YJC. Head of the Principalist Parliamentary Group has said he regards the new nuclear deal as positive and sound.

Speaking at today’s parliamentary session, Gholamali Haddad Adel said "I believe what was achieved in the nuclear talks has been positive for the first step. We must not negate the first step and we must take further steps with regard to the national rights.”

The Head of the Principalist Parliamentary Group pointed to objections made to the nuclear deal by other lawmakers and said "I understand the concerns of some lawmakers about the nature of the agreement. But after the text of the agreement and its translation are published one can make better judgment on the details. I recommend all to read the text. We also expect the President and the Minister of Foreign Affairs to come to the Majlis as soon as possible and present the lawmakers with explanations so that concerns are obviated.”

Haddad pointed out that some lawmakers expect the agreement to be put to vote and said "I do not see it necessary for the agreement to be considered and passed by the Majlis. If that was necessary, we would have said so before the negotiators were dispatched. To relegate the agreement to parliamentary approval will give the same right to the opposite side, which will hinder the progress already made in the negotiations.”
