Fars reports that the commander of the Basij Mohammadreza Naqdi in a meeting with Basij officials in the shrine of Imam Khomeini said "Today 1750 Basij commanders have come to tell Imam that we are faithful to the pledge we have taken with you. O Imam, if you said that Israel must be wiped off the world, we say we still abide by that word. Next to the names of Imam Ali and Imam Hossein, the names of our brigades are driven from Jerusalem so that the pledge will always remain before the eyes of the Basij.”
Naqdi exclaimed "So long as we have not taken the Muslim lands from the occupiers and have not prayed with our Guardian in the dear Jerusalem, we will not turn away from fighting America and Zionism.”
