TEHRAN, August 6 - Iranian Deputy Director of the Presidential Chief of Staff for Political Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi rejected rumors on Iran-US talks through Oman.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “I am saying frankly that talks with the US are useless. Rumors about (Iran’s) talks with the US through Oman are lies,” he said.
Last week, US President Donald Trump in a press conference with Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte raised the issue of holding talks with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. He has already threatened Iran and any other country which does business with Iran with severe sanctions.
Trump made no pre-condition for the talks, but his Secretary of State Mike Pompeo set conditions for the talks.
