TEHRAN, August 1- “The logic of the Islamic Republic of Iran is the logic of negotiation and interaction which needs mutual respect and complying with international commitments,” said Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - He made the remarks after US President Donald Trump said that he is ready for talks with Iran without ‘precondition’.
Qassemi said Iran should see whether US president has decided to change its language towards Iran after his useless rhetoric had failed and whether he has decided to stop threats against Iranian nation.
He noted remarks by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo which came immediately after Trump’s comments show chaos in US diplomacy.
Trump has made the suggestion while he withdrew from the nuclear deal unilaterally and without any justification, and has imposed unfair sanctions against Iranian nation, Qassemi said.
“Sanction and pressure are the opposite side of talks. Talks need mutual respect and complying with international commitments.”
