TEHRAN, July 31 - Representatives of Iran, Turkey and Russia have agreed on the draft of a final statement to be issued at the 10th Syria international peace conference.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - Sochi meeting was held Monday with the attendance of Hossein Jaberi Ansari, Senior Assistant of Iran's Foreign Minister, Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkey Sedat Onal and Russian President’s Special Envoy for Syria, Alexander Lavrentiev.
Jaberi Ansari discussed the latest developments in Damascus with the UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura.
Earlier, the head of the Iranian delegation, Jaberi Ansari, also sat down for talks with Russian President's Special Envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentiev and Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin.
During his bilateral talks, Ansari discussed the latest developments in Syria with regards to constitution committee, refugees returning to their homes, prisoner swap arrangement, and also the final draft statement of the meeting.
The ninth round of Syria peace talks participated by representatives of Iran, Russia and Turkey as well as the UN chief's special envoy on Syria was held in Astana in May 2018.
More than 330,000 people have been killed in Syria and millions have been driven from their homes since the conflict began in March 2011, and the infrastructure of the country destroyed.
