Tehran, YJC. Official says technological conditions allow for Iran to reopen its flight route to the US.
Head
of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization Alireza Jahangirian says that most of
what counts for lack of a flight route between Iran and the US is political,
asserting that the technological grounds favor opening one.
The
official added "The Civil Aviation Organization will cover the technical side,
where grounds are laid to some extent; so right now we are waiting for signs
from political leaders so that the flight may become operational.”
He also
provided the reporters comments on regular delays in civil flights and said "The
major part of the delays has to do with problems arising from the sanctions,
which come with effects also on the technical aspects of the airplanes. Right now
the country suffers too few airplanes and crowded flights. We have to ask
people to tolerate the delays. This is our duty to provide people with decent
facilities when there are unexpected delays.”
