TEHRAN, July 25 - A suicide attack in the Syrian city of Sweida caused deaths and injuries, the Syrian state news agency SANA reported on its Telegram feed on Wednesday, citing its correspondent.

Death toll in explosion in Syria's As Suwayda rose from 30 to 38, over 30 are wounded, according to a police source.
A terrorist attack in the city of As Suwayda in the south of Syria left 30 people dead, a police source told Sputnik Wednesday. An explosion occurred near the market in the city of As Suwayda, Syrian media reported earlier in the day.
"Thirty people are dead and [there are] wounded as a result of… [a terrorist attack] in the province of Suwayda in the south of Syria," the source said.
Syria has been engulfed in a civil war since 2011, with government forces fighting numerous opposition factions and terrorist groups. The international community has taken a number of steps aimed at settling the crisis, including through negotiations in Geneva and Astana, as well as the Syrian National Dialogue Congress which took place in the Russian city of Sochi in January.
