TEHRAN, July 23 - Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said the country has several options to deal with oil sanctions.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - “What we want is selling Iranian oil and the return of the old income. Talks with Europe aim at reaching a practical solution to keep selling oil,” he said and as referring to talks between Iran and Europe over European package of proposals.
In case Iran cannot export its crude, it will take actions, he said, adding, “If we cannot have oil exports, others cannot have too. There are many options and picks for us not limited only to one solution and one Strait of Hormoz.”
He also said the European package of proposals include various sections of oil, gas, insurance and banking.
He said Iran has given a deadline to Europe over reaching a practical solution. The deadline ends on August 6.
US administration has threatened that it would force Iranian oil buyers to cut their purchase from Iran to Zero by November.
